in 2022, i drove from georgia to boston in 24 hours, leaving at 3 am and arriving at 3 am. there were multiple points throughout this trip where the only people on the road were me in my little car covered in rhinestone stickers with eyelashes on the headlights, and long haul truck drivers. i thought the contrast of this was really interesting. this contrast is what inspired this collection, a women’s ready-to-wear collection combining feminine styles and silhouettes with elements inspired by truck drivers and their vehicles. this project was done entirely in adobe illustrator except for the physical samples i created and the final lineup illustration, which was done by hand in micron pen and colored pencil. the background of the presentation was created in illustrator as well using the paths of the most commonly driven truck routes.
